Windsurf was an agentic code editor built around AI-assisted navigation, generation, refactoring, and multi-file development. After Cognition acquired Windsurf’s product, intellectual property, trademark, and brand, the product evolved into the current Devin developer platform. The old Windsurf pricing URL now redirects to Devin’s plans, and Cognition describes Devin Desktop as the next generation of Windsurf.
