Manus is a general-purpose AI agent built to complete multi-step work rather than only answer questions. Give it an outcome—research a market, assemble a presentation, analyze files, build and deploy a website, or organize a recurring workflow—and it can plan the job, use a cloud computer, call connected tools, and return a finished deliverable.
This review reflects Manus’s live product and help documentation checked in September 2026. The service has changed substantially since its invite-only debut, so old reviews that focus only on a waitlist or early benchmark claims no longer describe the product buyers can use today.
What is Manus AI?
Manus combines conversational AI with an execution environment. Chat Mode is useful for ordinary questions, while Agent Mode is intended for tasks that require research, browsing, coding, file creation, or several dependent steps.
